Welcome to Northallerton Tennis Club.

Northallerton Tennis Club is a LTA registered club, in Romanby, Northallerton. We have four hard courts, a club house, and use of the facilities at Northallerton Town Cricket Club next door. We have an active tennis calendar with both social and competitive tournaments, club nights, activities for juniors, and social events.The main focus of our tennis is two club nights each week – Monday & Thursday where senior members can turn up and play. Club nights start in early April and continue until either a lack of daylight or an excess of rain forces a halt. Club nights are usually attended by between 20 and 30 players. The standard format is doubles so you will have an opportunity to play with and against several different people. Standards range from awful to awesome – usually in the same game.

For those who are seeking a more competitive game we have teams in different leagues. There are currently three teams in the Harrogate league – the highest being division 3.

Throughout the year there are club tournaments. These are competitive mixed doubles social events each of which follow a similar format with the winners being those people who have won the most games over several rounds. A list of tournaments is available in the competitions section.

There are a number of daytime members who get together and play on weekdays.

Each year we have a club competition, our version of Wimbledon – we even have a finals day. We don’t need rain to disrupt our playing schedule it can be chaotic all by itself.
